The sheltered Gatas Bay is one of the island’s most beautiful snorkeling spots and, thanks to its shallow, calm waters, is particularly well-suited for beginners. Discover the colorful underwater world with its numerous tropical fish species and, with a little luck, even sea turtles. Some of the fish species found here are even endemic and can only be found in Cape Verde. Before snorkeling, you’ll receive a detailed safety briefing in German. You’ll be accompanied by a qualified guide who will introduce you to the underwater world and ensure a safe and relaxing snorkeling experience. After snorkeling, we’ll continue on to Fundo das Figueiras. We’ll wrap up the experience comfortably with a small local snack and give you the chance to sample typical Cape Verdean specialties such as goat cheese, bread, and ponche or grogue.
