Description

We start in the south and drive along the east coast today. We'll head off-road over sand dunes, following the Atlantic, and our first stop is the abandoned village of Curral Velho.

We'll visit the former salt pans, and maybe we'll even be able to take some sea salt home with us!

We'll continue to Ervatao, where there's time for swimming and relaxing. We'll continue off-road to the "Farol Morro Negro" lighthouse, which, with its approximately 150 meters of elevation, is easily climbed. At the top, a sensational view of the east coast awaits. Sturdy shoes are better than flip-flops. Then we'll head to Porto Ferreira, where we'll be in awe. Here, you can collect snail shells for meditation; a paradise for shell lovers.

Finally, we'll head to the province of Norte, where we'll stop at a typical Cape Verdean restaurant in the idyllic town of Fundo das Figeiras. After dinner, there'll be time to stroll through the village and, for example, stop for a snack. For example, to visit the church. The return journey to the hotel takes us through the North region and, of course, along Route 66!
